Communidad EsTr(El/La) is a project founded by Li Ann Sanchez, known within the community as Estrella, who works with transgender immigrant Latina women who do sex work in Atlanta and neighboring communities, most of whom are undocumented.

The Sex Worker Giving Circle (2019-2020 and 2021-2022) provided multi-year grants to support their ability to provide stipends and incentives for community members, as well as to support Estrella to access capacity building and leadership development opportunities both remotely and in person.

The Mobilize Power Fund (2020) supported COVID-19 mutual aid in Spanish by and for the trans Latinx community.

The Mobilize Power Fund (October 2022) supported a partnership between Community EsTr(El/La) & Asheboro Latinx Services for the North Carolina/Georgia Navigation Trans Project, which supported young trans women recently released from ICE detention with relocation and material needs. Asheboro Latinx Services provides basic health services, legal and social counseling, and advocacy for equal rights and services for the North Carolina Latinx community.
