New Jersey Red Umbrella Alliance

The New Jersey Red Umbrella Alliance (NJRUA) is a working alliance of activists and allies who are dedicated to promoting, defending, and advocating for the human rights of sex workers in the state of New Jersey. As a Black-led, trans-centered collective, they aim to counter anti-sex worker violence and other harms of criminalization and stigmatization through public education, documentation and community organizing.

The Sex Worker Giving Circle (2019-2020) provided a two-year grant to support their mission through outreach, community organizing, documentation of rights violations, public education, and material support for sex worker community members.
