Shai Doula Services is a Black youth and women-led organization that provides inclusive reproductive care to birthing people in Detroit and its surrounding communities.
The Mobilize Power Fund (September 2022) supported a partnership between Shai Doula Services and Healing By Choice! to create a reproductive justice-based workshop series for young BIPOC birthing individuals in Detroit and surrounding cities. Healing by Choice! is a circle of BIPOC women and gender non-conforming multidisciplinary health and healing practitioners based in Detroit, MI that develop culturally relevant tools for navigating emotional, spiritual, and physical traumas created by the conditions of systemic oppression.
