The WomanHOOD Project

The WomanHOOD Project is a Bronx-based collective run by and for young women of color (HOOD: Helping Ourselves Overcome Discrimination). Their mission is to uplift womanhood through racial and gender justice.

The Own Our Power Fund (2017-2019) provided a two-year grant to support the development of an alumni engagement, training, and leadership transition pipeline to develop a young Bronx-based leader of color under 25 and ensure that their organization continues to be led by their communities.
